We are so glad you asked. But first, who IS Common Man. Common Man is the indie-pop duo comprised of singer-songwriters Compton McMurry and Meredith Johnson. This pair have been the sole unpaid interns at the Common Man LLC for three years now, and are going to climb the ranks within this musical empire. Their debut EP “The Garden” was met with critical acclaim by at least six people, including World Magazine ‘s New and Noteworthy stating “This three-song EP does what a three-song EP should: make you want more. “

Flattered by this, the duo set to work making more. Less than a year later they released their debut longer EP “Only One” which featured five entire songs. They took their music on the road in their trusty Honda Civic and have been touring ever since, booking house shows and small venues across the South-East and beyond. By the end of 2025 they had released their latest EP “Musterion” with an accompanying music video.

The duo have no plans of slowing down after a year of international touring, opening for The Arcadian Wild, and participating in a handful of Festivals. So look out world, because Common Man has traded in their Honda Civic for a brand new 2009 Honda Odyssey and they’re looking to the future with really squinty eyes.
